SOUS CHEF

Areas of ownership include:

  • Spearheading the reopening of the newly renovated restaurant alongside the Executive Chef
  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
  • Training and educating staff on food preparation and cooking methods

Qualifications (Includes equipment knowledge/use):

  • 1-2 years as a Sous Chef and/or Lead Cook in a high volume – full service restaurant. Experience opening a restaurant is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of menu and resource planning
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate proper knife handling skills and other kitchen equipment safety
  •  Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must possess a Food Handler Safety Card
  • Possess the physical and mental stamina to work for extended periods of time
  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware up to 50 lbs
  • Physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time

Pay: $65K-$72k
