We are looking for the best chef in the world…or at least someone who wants to be. Someone who is excited to experiment with international high desert influences in our menu and offerings. We need a chef with experience operating restaurants and a serious background in catering and events.

We can and will list all the basics below but if you have experience you know how challenging this can be. We need a leader; someone that knows how to recruit and build a team, someone that naturally assumes responsibility in order to offer our guests the highest level of experience. backed by designing and creating systems and operations including costing, ordering, and budgeting.

Areas of ownership include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including compliance with health codes, food cost management, vendor/supplier contracts, budget, and inventory
  • Training and educating staff on food preparation and cooking methods
  • Menu and recipe development, including building out the catering department

Qualifications (Includes equipment knowledge/use):

  • 2-3 years as an Executive Chef, developing recipes and menus in a high-volume, scratch kitchen. Experience opening a restaurant is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of menu and resource planning
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to interpret a profit and loss statement
  • Must possess a Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Possess the physical and mental stamina to work for extended periods of time
  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware up to 50 lbs
  • Physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time
