ABOUT US
In October 2020, three friends took the leap to purchase Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel with the dream to restore it to what it once was and pay homage to its landscape, its history and local community. Nestled against a stunning bouldered mountain range—closer to the Milky Way than modern city living—our hotel is anchored by art, music, community, and thoughtful creation. Every detail is curated with care, and every experience for our guests, team, and community is designed with deep intentionality.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not your typical restaurant management role. It’s an opportunity to be part of a small, hands-on team building something truly unique—from the ground up.
At Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel, we’re creating more than just a guest experience—we’re restoring a historic place with deep roots and building a culture around art, music, food, and community. The work is creative, challenging, and meaningful. You’ll be closely involved with the owners, working alongside people who care deeply about every detail and who believe hospitality can be a foundation for connection and renewal.
We’re not just serving food and drinks—we’re building a place that celebrates human creativity and connection, where people from all backgrounds can feel a genuine sense of belonging. We’re hosting musicians, artists, and chefs who are drawn here by the vision, and we’re committed to giving back to the place and people that surround us.
Part of that commitment includes hiring and developing talent from our local community, including individuals who may not have traditional hospitality backgrounds. This role will require a genuine interest in working with people from diverse experiences, a willingness to train and mentor extensively, and the patience and care to build a team that reflects the values of the place we’re creating.
If you’re looking for a role where you can lead by example, grow with a purpose-driven team, and contribute to something that’s gaining real momentum and recognition—this is that kind of opportunity.
FOOD & BEVERAGE PROGRAM
Our food and beverage operation is ambitious, diverse, and central to the guest experience at Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel. Though we are a 20 room and 5 guest house, boutique property, we sit on expansive grounds that allow for a wide range of dynamic, immersive experiences—as well as several off-site venues in the surrounding area.
Our F&B team includes around 35 dedicated staff members, and we serve an average of 300 covers per day across our outlets which include: indoor dining room, bar, large patios, and food & beverage service to three distinct pool areas. We also provide in-room dining, serve private pool side cabanas, and support a regular calendar of special events—ranging from weddings and private celebrations to public concerts, corporate retreats, guest chef nights, and community gatherings.
Programming plays a big role in our rhythm. From live music and specialty tastings to pop-ups and off-site events at nearby venues, no two days are exactly the same.
We’re looking for a General Manager who thrives in this kind of creative and dynamic environment—not someone who leads from behind the scenes, but someone who is present and hands-on. You’ll be on the floor with the team, setting the tone, coaching in real time, and helping guide a culture of care, attention to detail, professionalism, and creativity.
